Stone with Woodford Playgroup
A warm and caring environment where children feel safe, secure and have fun by learning through play which was rated GOOD by OFSTED in 2022.
Our SEND Offer
All children including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) are welcome at our setting and we do our utmost to meet every child's needs so that they can develop and learn to enable them to reach their full potential.
Discussions between parents or carers and the setting will be carried out to ensure the child and parents are supported to the best of our ability whilst their child is at our setting. The setting will provide appropriate facilities / play equipment and ensure activities are planned so that all children can develop and learn.
The child's key worker will liaise with the parents and carers and all staff observe the children and identify any specific requirement a child with SEND may have. They will liaise with the SENCo to ensure these needs are met.
The SENCo at our setting works in line with the current DfES Special Educational Needs and Disability Code of Practice and the Gloucestershire County Council Graduated Pathway (My Plan, My Plan+ and EHCP Plan) which is used for identifying, assessing and responding to SEND. Parents are consulted and and involved throughout the Graduated Pathway.
