Our Ethos

Our setting ethos is centred around supporting the unique child in an environment that is safe, nurturing, respectful and stimulating so that our children can achieve their potential. Our curriculum captures both the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and the Development Matters guidance which we deliver using our resources and equipment as well as opportunities that may arise. This enables us to equip our children with the Cultural Capital and British Values needed to grow and develop into confident, independence and curious learners.

Small World Play is a cross-curricular activity example that supports all seven EYFS areas of learning. It develops language, creativity, social skills, hand – eye coordination, early maths and writing skills and understanding of the different environments, occupations and cultures — all through imaginative, hands-on exploration.
